A new waterfront home that innovatively responds to significant site level changes and challenging site access.
The brief from our client was to create a contemporary home that maximized the water views and privacy from neighbours.
Natural ventilation was a key part of the environmental strategy for the dwelling. A series of internal courtyards allow for maximum cross ventilation of the living and bedroom spaces as well as creating shaded spots for outdoor living.
The material palette is rigorous to meet the demands of the waterfront setting and includes Australian hardwood timber, Corten steel, glass and sandstone.
